Laura Phillips

In my childhood, both my parents taught me many crafts and gave me a great love of music, dance and the outdoors. From the age of three my father always made sure I cultivated a garden of pansies each winter. In my twenties I attended the then Canberra School of Art from 1974-76 where I studied ceramics and sculpture. One of my drawing tutors had studied drawing with Henry Moore for three years. I was very lucky in the teaching I had at CSA. The visual arts have restored and maintained me in hard times and are a continuous source of wonderment.
